Assessing data hosting

PRISM hosts your town's assessing information online, so residents can find what they need themselves and your office spends less time on routine requests, all kept current from your assessing data.

What's included

• Public property lookup. Every parcel's owner, valuation, exemptions, and transfer/sales history, searchable by the public.
• Property documents on request. Residents can request their property record card, valuation report, or tax bill and get it by email automatically, with every request logged for your office, no staff time spent pulling and attaching PDFs.
• Assessing forms, filed online. Homestead, Veteran, Abatement, and the rest, filled out online, linked to the specific property, and emailed straight to your clerk or assessor with that property already attached. Nothing to print, nothing to re-key.
• Assessing-period reporting. A running record of filings across the assessment period, so nothing slips through.

Personal property

• Every account, publicly searchable. Business personal property accounts listed alongside the real estate roll, with the same lookup residents already use for parcels.
• Valuation broken out by category. Each account shows what it is assessed on by category, covering furniture and fixtures, machinery and equipment, and the rest, rather than one unexplained total.
• Account owner sign-in. A business owner signs in and sees their own account's full itemized inventory, every item, including the ones exempt under BETE. That detail is confidential under Maine law and never appears publicly; the owner's own login is the only place it is shown.

Coming by April 1, 2027: owners maintain their own inventory and file for BETE online, and your office exports inventories across accounts.
